Awards and Honors

At the invitation of Operation Smile Singapore, from January 17-22, 2010, Dr. Theavy Mok, Medical Director for Operation Smile Cambodia served as field medical director for an Operation Smile Singapore surgical mission to Dhaka, Bangladesh. Over the course of the mission, which took place at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, 86 children with cleft lips, palates or other facial deformities were provided free corrective surgery.

Cambodia’s Minister Of Health awarded Operation Smile Cambodia the Royal Order of Sahametrei Commander, on the 22 June 2007. Operation Smile co-founders Dr. Bill Magee and Mrs. Kathy Magee as well as Operation Smile Cambodia Chairman Mr. Chan, were extremely proud & honored to receive the award.

Operation Smile Cambodia received certificate of appreciation from Operation Smile on 22 June 2007 from co- founders Dr. Bill Magee and Mrs. Kathy Magee. The award was in appreciation of Cambodia’s ongoing commitment to the children of Cambodia.

Program Director, Mok Theavy, M.D. received the Operation Smile Medical Visionary Award on October 1 2005 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
