Tuan Before 2003 & After 2004

Tuan is a 12-year-old who loves to play soccer. He’s one of seven children born to rice farmers in a remote, rural are of Cambodia. Tuan’s parents are loving but poor – too poor to afford the 45-minute surgery need to fix their son’s cleft life and save him from a lifetime of pain and isolation. That’s why, when Tuan’s mother heard about an Operation Smile mission coming to Phnom Penh, she spent hours walking and riding buses with Tuan. Their efforts were rewarded when Tuan was chosen for life-changing surgery. Thank you!
